Jo went from volunteering at a local cat rescue, to running the Chinchilla Persian Rescue, based at her home near Devizes, Wiltshire. Jo had previously bred Persians and Birmans, and shows Persians and Exotics.
Marion volunteers, and occasionally fosters cats for the rescue, including long term fostering where a cat may be undergoing veterinary care.
The rescue cattery was established in 2001, by the Chinchilla, Silver Tabby & Smoke Cat Society, a founder member club of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, to facilitate a purpose run rescue service for Persian cats and their specific needs. The cattery buildings were donated by our Society President, Meta Kalshoven, and the late Diane Hopcraft of Luckylite Persians.
We are dedicated to finding the best family possible for each cat, working to reduce the stress on them. Whether it's a foster or forever home, thorough inspection and check ups are required before an animal is placed. Above all else, the health, safety and happiness of each animal is our focus.
We get to know our cats and help build each animal's biography to give hopeful adopters the most complete information possible. Please contact us to ask any questions, or to schedule a visit with a particular cat!
